Recognizing that not everyone can come to a city where PTO offers a PROFIBUS in the Process Industries one-day training class, the PTO has created a series of four webinars on the topic. The first webinar is scheduled for June 25 at 2:00pm EDT. It will present an introduction to fieldbuses in general and review the evolution from hard-wired devices to fieldbuses. The remaining webinars in the series:
July 9: fieldbus physical layer, network topologies including redundancy, and intrinsically safe models
July 28: configuring PROFIBUS PA instruments, operating modes, configuration tools, diagnostic reporting
August 12: troubleshooting tools and asset management
