One of the follow up questions on the Boston PROFINET one-day training class feedback forms indicated that we should say more about Component Based Automation (CBA). For those who didn’t hear enough about CBA in Boston, you can find more information in Section 15 of “PROFINET Technology and Application.” You can find it on the resource CD from the training manual. I also discovered a video on the Design World website that provides an overview of CBA.
Other feedback indicated attendees wanted more competitive comparisons, more case studies, and more technical details. It is tough fitting everything into a reasonable-length day, so we’ll take some solace in one attendee’s observation that “Instructors did a perfect job in balancing the details.” We have beefed up the competitive comparison though for the remaining classes. Speaking of remaining classes, we have three PROFINET classes in three weeks in a row starting this week: Milwaukee, Toronto, and Cincinnati. We hope to see you if you’re close to one of those cities. (They’re free, but please register by clicking the appropriate city.)
And for those who want even more depth, there are a few seats still available in our September 14-18 PROFINET Certified Network Engineer class.
