Certified Training

The Certified Network Engineer classes are intensive, hands-on, training classes. Over the past 10+ years, over a thousand engineers have been trained and certified on the PROFINET and PROFIBUS technologies.

This class is intended for end-users such as control engineers, installers, maintenance, support staff and industrial IT personnel, as well as distributors and sales/application engineers.  It is also valuable for vendors and developers who need a fast track to implementing PROFINET technology, and is considered a prerequisite to a PROFINET Developer Workshop.

The class teaches all aspects of the PROFIBUS & PROFINET technologies. From the basics, to design tips, installation, features to protocol details, configuration, diagnostics, and troubleshooting, including hands-on experience for almost all topics. This certified class includes a written multiple choice exam and a practical test. Successful students will receive an official PROFINET Certified Network Engineer Certificate from PI North America and 24 Professional Development (PDH) credit hours, and can be listed on the PI International website as a certified expert.

No specific prerequisites are required for taking the class, however some automation or networking background will help.
