InTech indiscreet

Actually, I mean InTech magazine is also in discrete, not just in process.  Richard Simpson and Greg Hale, publisher and editor of InTech, dropped in to see us today.  If your perception is like mine you think of InTech as strictly a process magazine.  Greg explained that while that is certainly where they came from, today he classifies their target as “automation and control.”  Their readership is relatively equally split between process and discrete.  They choose articles based on an appeal to both audiences.  As I looked back in my October issue, articles like “Industrial Network Integrity” are certainly applicable to both.  [Note to editors: Visiting the PTO offices in Scottsdale, Arizona between November and March is always a wise decision.  It’s 85 degrees and sunny today.]
