Off-topic warning – at least off the PROFI topic. On the engineering topic though.
PI North America has five PROFIs – PROFINET, PROFIBUS, PROFIenergy, PROFIsafe, and PROFIdrive. Arizona is known for its five C’s – climate, citrus, cattle, cotton, and copper. I posted about a modern copper mine in Engineer’s Holiday. I celebrated the completion of the General Assembly Meeting by heading to the former copper mining boom town and former ghost town of Jerome, Arizona. I had been there long ago when it actually was a ghost town, shortly after the mines closed. Now it’s a thriving tourist town with a population of 442. Down from the 15,000 in its heyday though. The destination was the former Douglas mansion and current Jerome State Historic Park for some mining history.
